Description

GNU make utility to maintain groups of programs

Make is a tool which controls the generation of executables and other non-source files of a program from the program's source files. Make gets its knowledge of how to build your program from a file called the makefile, which lists each of the non-source files and how to compute it from other files. When you write a program, you should write a makefile for it, so that it is possible to use Make to build and install the program.

Source, pre-built binaries, installers and md5 signatures are available as gnuwin32 sourceforge files. They are presented through this nuget package without modification.

Additional information about the coreutils package can be found on the make homepage.

Based on the AUTHORS file, this version's source asserts copyright each year 1997 through 2006, inclusive.

Credit also unknown authors, since the AUTHORS file in source does not list the maintainer of the gnuwin32 tools.

In cases where actual malware is found, the packages are subject to removal. Software sometimes has false positives. Moderators do not necessarily validate the safety of the underlying software, only that a package retrieves software from the official distribution point and/or validate embedded software against official distribution point (where distribution rights allow redistribution).

Chocolatey Pro provides runtime protection from possible malware.
