If you need to convert files from one markup format into another, pandoc is your swiss-army knife. Pandoc can convert documents in markdown, reStructuredText, textile, HTML, DocBook, LaTeX and many others.

  • Documentation formats: DocBook, TEI Simple, GNU TexInfo, Groff man pages, Haddock markup

  • PDF via LaTeX

Notes

  • The package by default installs pandoc for current user. To install for all users use choco install pandoc --ia=ALLUSERS=1.

To install Pandoc, run the following command from the command line or from PowerShell:

C:\> choco install pandoc

To upgrade Pandoc, run the following command from the command line or from PowerShell:

C:\> choco upgrade pandoc

In cases where actual malware is found, the packages are subject to removal. Software sometimes has false positives. Moderators do not necessarily validate the safety of the underlying software, only that a package retrieves software from the official distribution point and/or validate embedded software against official distribution point (where distribution rights allow redistribution).
