TypeScript is a language for application-scale JavaScript. TypeScript adds optional types, classes, and modules to JavaScript. TypeScript supports tools for large-scale JavaScript applications for any browser, for any host, on any OS. TypeScript compiles to readable, standards-based JavaScript.

To install TypeScript, run the following command from the command line or from PowerShell:

C:\> choco install typescript

To upgrade TypeScript, run the following command from the command line or from PowerShell:

C:\> choco upgrade typescript

Moderators do not necessarily validate the safety of the underlying software, only that a package retrieves software from the official distribution point and/or validate embedded software against official distribution point (where distribution rights allow redistribution).
