hmm, oops. The 0.4.9.2 is actually 0.4.9-RC2, and 0.4.9 is the release. I assumed removing the '-beta' would indicate that this was a newer version. What should I do here?

chocolatey-ops (reviewer) on 18 May 2017 19:56:39 +00:00:

go-ipfs has passed automated validation. It may have or may still fail other checks like testing (verification).
NOTE: No required changes that the validator checks have been flagged! It is appreciated if you fix other items, but only Requirements will hold up a package version from approval. A human review could still turn up issues a computer may not easily find.

Guidelines

Guidelines are strong suggestions that improve the quality of a package version. These are considered something to fix for next time to increase the quality of the package. Over time Guidelines can become Requirements. A package version can be approved without addressing Guideline comments but will reduce the quality of the package.

go-ipfs has passed automated testing.
This is not the only check that is performed so check the package page to ensure a 'Ready' status.

Hi,

0.4.9.2-beta is a newer version than this which is why it appears up the list.

I've noticed that {{PackageVersion}} is left in for DocsUrl and ReleaseNotes. Is this your AU scripts not replacing them? Could you correct?

Recommended but not mandatory - can you review the recommendations from the package validator:

  • ProjectUrl and ProjectSourceUrl are typically different, but not always. Please ensure that projectSourceUrl is pointing to software source code or remove the field from the nuspec.

  • Description should be sufficient to explain the software. Please fill in the description with more information about the software. Feel free to use use markdown.

  • Title (title) matches id exactly. Please consider using something slightly more descriptive for the title in the nuspec.

Thanks.

Paul

> 0.4.9.2-beta is a newer version than this which is why it appears up the list.

I realized that was the case only after I saw it on the chocolatey repo :) But do you have any solution for how to fix this?

Pauby (reviewer) on 29 May 2017 15:32:45 +00:00:

Hi,

I'm not sure what you mean by 'fixing this'? The version 0.4.9.2 is a later version than 0.4.9 so it appears in the list afterwards (I know I'm repeating what I said :)). What is it you want to fix with this 0.4.9 package?

WHat might be a good idea is if you join the Chocolatey.org Gitter chat - then you can ask the questions around this and get a quicker response. But happy to continue here if need be.

The actual upstream release version, and the correct version for this package, is 0.4.9

In the interest of making this 'newer', the fix would be to change the version to 0.4.9.3

Pauby (reviewer) on 19 Jun 2017 09:08:13 +00:00:

Hi,

I understand what you want to do but I'm unsure of why it is you are wanting to do it. The 0.4.9.2-beta version will not download on a 'choco install' unless the --pre switch is used to install prelease versions. So the only version that will show up in the list is this 0.4.9 one when it's approved.

If you want to change this to 0.4.9.3 then you will need to reject this package and resubmit with the new version number but this may not tie up with the software version number so may well get confusing as people generally expect them to tie together.

We've found go-ipfs v0.4.9 in a submitted status and waiting for your next actions. It has had no updates for 20 or more days since a reviewer has asked for corrections. Please note that if there is no response or fix of the package within 15 days of this message, this package version will automatically be closed (rejected) due to being stale.

Take action:

  • Log in to the site and respond to the review comments.
  • Resubmit fixes for this version.
  • If the package version is failing automated checks, you can self-reject the package.

If your package is failing automated testing, you can use the chocolatey test environment to manually run the verification and determine what may need to be fixed.

Note: We don't like to see packages automatically rejected. It doesn't mean that we don't value your contributions, just that we can not continue to hold packages versions in a waiting status that have possibly been abandoned. If you don't believe you will be able to fix up this version of the package within 15 days, we strongly urge you to log in to the site and respond to the review comments until you are able to.

chocolatey-ops (reviewer) on 24 Jul 2017 09:14:14 +00:00:

Unfortunately there has not been progress to move go-ipfs v0.4.9 towards an approved status within 15 days after the last review message, so we need to close (reject) the package version at this time. If you want to pick this version up and move it towards approval in the future, use the contact site admins link on the package page and we can move it back into a submitted status so you can submit updates.

Status Change - Changed status of package from 'submitted' to 'rejected'.
