NOTE: This applies to both open source and commercial editions of Chocolatey.

1. Ensure you are set for organizational deployment

Please see the organizational deployment guide

  • Open Source or Commercial:
    • Proxy Repository - Create a proxy nuget repository on Nexus, Artifactory Pro, or a proxy Chocolatey repository on ProGet. Point your upstream to https://chocolatey.org/api/v2. Packages cache on first access automatically. Make sure your choco clients are using your proxy repository as a source and NOT the default community repository. See source command for more information.
    • You can also just download the package and push it to a repository Download

3. Enter your internal repository url

(this should look similar to https://chocolatey.org/api/v2)

4. Choose your deployment method:

choco upgrade reflect-free -y --source="'STEP 3 URL'" [other options]

See options you can pass to upgrade.

See best practices for scripting.

Add this to a PowerShell script or use a Batch script with tools and in places where you are calling directly to Chocolatey. If you are integrating, keep in mind enhanced exit codes.

If you do use a PowerShell script, use the following to ensure bad exit codes are shown as failures:

choco upgrade reflect-free -y --source="'STEP 3 URL'"
$exitCode = $LASTEXITCODE

Write-Verbose "Exit code was $exitCode"
$validExitCodes = @(0, 1605, 1614, 1641, 3010)
if ($validExitCodes -contains $exitCode) {
  Exit 0
}

Exit $exitCode

Description

A free disaster recovery solution for your home computer.

Protect your personal files. Clone your harddisk and create disk images in the safe knowledge that everything is securely saved in an easily recovered backup.

This package is broken. Not silent.

I had this package offline until I found the time to fix the CNET downloader. Once I did and I pushed this, I found that Reflect now downloads a downloader which can download any Reflect version.

I am looking for a maintainer with AutoIT skills or something similar to fix the new Macrium downloader to auto-download the free version and install that one.

# Get the resolved URL form a CNET download link.
# The initial link to CNET on a software source page changes, so we need the URL to the source page and a REGEX that will return the CNET url.
# We want to specify only a search parameter that will replace the entire document with just the url - to keep things easy.
# This function will return the actual downloadable URL.
#
# Usage: Get-UrlFromCnet download_page regex
# Examples:
# Get-FilenameFromRegex $url '(?ms).*href="(http://download.cnet.com/.+?)".*'

In cases where actual malware is found, the packages are subject to removal. Software sometimes has false positives. Moderators do not necessarily validate the safety of the underlying software, only that a package retrieves software from the official distribution point and/or validate embedded software against official distribution point (where distribution rights allow redistribution).

Chocolatey Pro provides runtime protection from possible malware.

Bug fixes

  • The error "Bad file descriptor" could cause a clone to fail. This has been resolved.
  • Free and Standard editions. The error message "Dynamic Disks are not supported" could incorrectly be displayed when editing an XML file. This has been resolved.
  • If the source driver files are marked as 'Read Only' this could cause a copy failure when building the Windows PE rescue media. This has been resolved.
  • Improved support for Linux systems using Grub 2

This package has no dependencies.
