NOTE: This applies to both open source and commercial editions of Chocolatey.

1. Ensure you are set for organizational deployment

Please see the organizational deployment guide

  • Open Source or Commercial:
    • Proxy Repository - Create a proxy nuget repository on Nexus, Artifactory Pro, or a proxy Chocolatey repository on ProGet. Point your upstream to https://chocolatey.org/api/v2. Packages cache on first access automatically. Make sure your choco clients are using your proxy repository as a source and NOT the default community repository. See source command for more information.
    • You can also just download the package and push it to a repository Download

3. Enter your internal repository url

(this should look similar to https://chocolatey.org/api/v2)

4. Choose your deployment method:

choco upgrade calibre -y --source="'STEP 3 URL'" [other options]

See options you can pass to upgrade.

See best practices for scripting.

Add this to a PowerShell script or use a Batch script with tools and in places where you are calling directly to Chocolatey. If you are integrating, keep in mind enhanced exit codes.

If you do use a PowerShell script, use the following to ensure bad exit codes are shown as failures:

choco upgrade calibre -y --source="'STEP 3 URL'"
$exitCode = $LASTEXITCODE

Write-Verbose "Exit code was $exitCode"
$validExitCodes = @(0, 1605, 1614, 1641, 3010)
if ($validExitCodes -contains $exitCode) {
  Exit 0
}

Exit $exitCode

Description

calibre is a free and open source e-book library management application developed by users of e-books for users of e-books.

In cases where actual malware is found, the packages are subject to removal. Software sometimes has false positives. Moderators do not necessarily validate the safety of the underlying software, only that a package retrieves software from the official distribution point and/or validate embedded software against official distribution point (where distribution rights allow redistribution).

Chocolatey Pro provides runtime protection from possible malware.

  • New: E-book viewer: Allow viewing images in the book in a separate pop-up window by right clicking on the image. Useful if you want to keep some image, like a map to the side while reading the book.
    • New: Catalogs: Allow generation of catalogs in AZW3 format. Also add more powerful configuration options to exclude books and set prefixes. See http://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=187298 for details.
    • New: Generate a PDF version of the User Manual
    • Fixed: News download: Fix broken handling of nesting for HTML 5 tags when parsing with BeautifulSoup
    • Fixed: EPUB: Handle files in the EPUB that have semi-colons in their file names. This means in particular using URL escaping when creating the NCX as ADE cannot handle unescaped semi-colons in the NCX.
    • Fixed: Conversion pipeline: Ignore unparseable CSS instead of erroring out on it.
    • Fixed: When setting up a column coloring rule based on the languages column, allow entry of localized language names instead of only ISO codes
    • Fixed: Catalogs: Generate cover for mobi/azw3 catalogs
    • Fixed: Update the last modified column record of a book, whenever a format is added to the book.
    • Fixed: E-book viewer: Fix line scrolling stops at breaks option not working in paged mode
    • Fixed: MOBI Output: Fix ToC at start option having no effect when converting some input documents that have an out-of-spine ToC.
    • Fixed: Catalog Generation: When generating EPUB/MOBI catalogs add more flexible rules for excluding books. Also add rules to customize the prefix characters used.
    • Fixed: Make setting published date using metadata search/replace more robust.
    • Fixed: Tag Browser: Flatten the display of sub-groups when sort by is not set to 'name'.
    • Fixed: Fix isbn:false not matching if other identifiers are attached to the book.
    • New News Source: eKundelek.pl by Artur Stachecki
    • New News Source: Sueddeutsche Mobil by Andreas Zeiser
